About PetrSU during Europe Days

The head of the EU Information Centre Anastasia Kuznetsova took part in Europe Days in Rostov-on-Don where she represented Petrozavodsk State University.

From May 17 to May 21, 2011 inRostov-on-Don the events devoted to “Europe Day” were arranged. The Delegation of the European Union to Russiawas represented by the head of the Delegation F. Valenzuela and members of Press and Information Department D. Danilidis and A. Kasiyanenko.

PetrozavodskStateUniversitywas represented bi the head of the EU Informetion Centre Anastasia Kuznetsova.    

The most essential event of the days was the meeting of the heads of all EU Information Centres inRussiawhich was dedicated to the achieved results in the activity if Centres.

A. Kuznetsova represented a report on the activity of PetrSU Information Centre and demonstrated the directions and results of its development. It was emphasized that the full-scale functioning of centres is an important aspect as they provide considerable opportunities to implement European research, internships inEuropeand project activity for students, lecturers, universities’ staff and for all public. The participants of the meeting pointed out the future Centres’ development plans have good perspectives and are supposed to enlarge the sphere of their activity.      

The rich program of “Europe Days” consisted of various cultural and educational events. We would like to mention presentation of the British Council and Netherlands Educational Programs Department provided possibilities for getting education abroad, debates “Where does Europe Go?”, the exhibition “Study in Europe” and cinema and gastronomic festivals.
