Information on-line seminar “European Donor Organizations and Programs”

On November 15, 2013 multilateral teleconference bridge with the title Information on-line seminar “European Donor Organizations and Programs” was arranged in PetrSU.

It was conducted in cooperation with the partners within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under financial support of the European Union: Murmansk State Technical University and Northern (Atctic) Federal University. The seminar was devoted to the European organizations and programs which provide financial assistance in order to implement various projects research, educational, cultural, social, administrative and other spheres.   

The seminar gathered representatives of municipal and regional authorities, regional insitutions of the civil society (non-commercial organizations, public organizations), cultural and educational institutions of the Republic of Karelia, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk regions, the Republic of Komi and the Nenets Autonomous District. The program of one-day seminar was supposed to include presentations and question-answer discussions. Thus, presentations made by Nicola Scaramuzzo, the head of educational programs of Cooperation Programs Department of the Delegation of the EU to Russia (about “Erasmus plus”), by Alexey Filin, the head of Murmansk Office of the Norwegian Barents Secretariat (about activity and programs of this organization), by Julia Korshunova, the head of the subsidiary of the program “Kolarctic ENPI CBC” in Murmansk, by Pavel Petrov, the head of the Contact Centre of the Nordic Council of Ministers in Petrozavodsk were demonstrated during the  meeting. Alexey Rogozin, the head of Atlantic and Asian Cooperation Centre, PetrSU, represented background inforation on the program “Horizon 2020” and its predecessors and Ekaterina Gorelikova, manager of International Education Centre of the Institute of International Programs, introduced her own project experience within the framework of the program “ENPI Karelia”. All in all, the on-line seminar allowed participants to acquire new knowledge about familiar and unfamiliar programs, new skills connected with the grant applications writing and project implementation. They have received useful advices which should help them in successful development of project activity of their organizations and cooperation with the European Union.
