Establishment of the EU Center in the Barents Region

The English language classes were launched in Petrozavodsk State University within the scope of the ‘Establishing the EU Center in the Barents Region’ project implemented with the European Union financial support.

The course of the English language is the first part of the training program for 15 lecturers of Faculties of History, Philology, Economics, Law and Political and Social Sciences of PetrSU. Within the framework of the course lecturers have an opportunity to improve their skills of written and oral speech, making presentations, translation and auding, as well as to develop their vocabulary. Highly skilled lecturers of the English language promote development of knowledge of the lecturers who are to develop courses of disciplines on matters of the European Union in the future. The participants of the project consider that English language classes are useful and effective part of the project, results of which they may use in their further professional activities.
