Delegation from the European Union came to PetrSU. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the Republic of Karelia and strengthen relationships. Diplomats took part in the international conference on the EU role in the Barents region, spoke about prospects of cooperation with Karelia in the sphere of tourism, environment, culture, education.

The course was given within the “EU Center in the Barents region of Russia” project, which is run with the financial support of the “Erasmus+” program

The club exists since 2012 and operates within the project “EU Center in the Barents region of Russia”, which is funded by the Erasmus + program of the European Union. The meeting took place in a form of group discussion of the topic “Gender policy in the EU”

A conference of young researchers, working in the field of contemporary European problems, was held on May 6, 2016, as a part of the EU Days at PetrSU. The conference took place within the EU Center in the Barents Region of Russia Project, funded by Erasmus+ program of the EU.

During the day university students, teachers and university staff members, as well as school children and city residents could visit one or more lessons dedicated to a language of an EU country: Polish, Swedish, French, German, English, Spanish and Finnish.

Andrushina Darina, a student of 10 "a" class participated and won II place in the Competition among schoolchildren "What do I know about the European Union?" in the framework of the project "EU Center in the Barents region of Russia", which was organized by Petrozavodsk State University and the EU Centre in the Barents region of Russia.
