Funding for research in the UK

The long term objective of the Newton International Fellowships project is to build a global research network that would connect all scholars and leaders in Britain and around the world.

In Britain in 2012 around 40 scholarships will be granted for the purpose of conducting post-doctoral research in the following fields: Humanities, Technical and Natural Science. The funding will last for two years. 

Amount of funding:

 - £24,000 per year;

 - up to £8,000 for the costs associated with research ;

 - up to £2,000 to cover expenses, associated with relocation;

 - there also may be additional £ 6, 000 of funding granted every year for the next 10 years after completion of work in the UK.

Before submitting application on the Scholarship Fund website you must get in touch with a research institute/university and get a permission to conduct your research.

Application deadline is April 16, 2012.
