Researcher Links: Travel Grants

23.10.2013

An important part of the British Council Researcher Links project is a travel grants scheme for the mobility of early career researchers between the UK and Russia. We are supporting short research visits (up to 3 months) with the aim of starting up a longer term collaboration. The maximum grant for Russian researchers is £6695; the visit should take place before the end of March 2015.

Eligibility

We would expect early career researchers to have been awarded their PhD not more than 10 years prior to applying for the Travel Grant, but allowances can be made for career breaks or other extenuating circumstances. If a researcher does not hold a PhD, but has research experience equivalent to a PhD holder and works in a field where a PhD is not a pre-requisite for established research activity, they will still be considered eligible. In 2013 only Russian researchers in arts, humanities and social sciences are eligible to apply for funding. There are no age limitations.

Submission of an application

The deadline is 24 November 2013. Before you start completing the application form, please read detailed guidelines for travel grants.
