Modern Pedagogical Technologies and Psychology in the Institutions of Higher Education

On the 5^th of September, 2012 the course “Modern Pedagogical Technologies and Psychology in the Higher Educational Institutions” was commenced for the lecturers participating in the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia” which is implemented under the financial support of the European Union.

 This course is the second part of the training programme arranged for 15 lecturers of the Faculties of History, Philology, Economy, Law and Political and Social Sciences.

 The course will afford lecturers the opportunity to get the information about the current standards of educational activity which correspond to the European level, improve their pedagogical skills, study the direction of innovative development of higher education institutions, psychology of personality and the problem of education in the institutions of higher education, master such new methods of teaching as collaboration technology, technology of problem, positional, and modular education, technology of critical thinking development, methods of work with the educational content, technology of case study usage, technology “Debates”, etc. Lecturers will be able to use this knowledge in the development of courses, devoted to the EU, which satisfy the modern requirements of educational quality.
