Welcome Days at the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia

From the 18^th to the 22^nd of June, 2012 Welcome Days were held in the Barents EU Centre within the framework of the project ‘Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia’, implemented with the financial support of the EU.

During these days visitors saw a presentation on the project and Centre and got familiar with the goals and objectives of the Centre and its main activities and the events that were held and will be held in the future.

Moreover, within the framework of the Welcome Days thematic lectures on such topics as ‘What is the European Union?’, ‘History of the European Union’, ‘Educational Opportunities in the EU’, ‘Possibilities of Project Activity on the EU Programmes’, ‘Class of the English Language as One of the EU Languages’.

At the end of the lecture there were discussions held on a subject of the roundtable.

Visitors could address their questions concerning the topic of the day, and much more. Participants expressed their positive impressions regarding the establishment of the Barents EU Centre in PetrSU and conduction of welcome days.

They received information on the services provided by the Centre and those they can use themselves, as well as discuss and share opinions on significant matters necessary for the knowledge of the EU.
