Examination within the framework of the project

First examinations in English for lecturers took place within the framework of the project ‘Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents region ofRussia’.

Lecturers of Faculties of Philology, History and Political and Social Sciences successfully completed the course in English within the framework of the project ‘Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents region ofRussia’.

The training programme included:

- Acquirement of basics skills in academic writing allowing to make up written texts of scientific and scientific and practical content;

- Effective public speaking;

- Improvement of listening skills of news and popular scientific programmes such as BBC and CNN;

- Brief insight of modern orthoepic, lexical and grammatical norms of the English language.

The participants of the course learned how to use the norms in a scientific field in the form of spoken and written communication.

During the course of examination lecturers presented their courses

-          «Modern mass media in the European Union” – D.A. Kunilskiy;

-          «The Ideas of United Europe and policy ofLeague of Nations» -A.F. Yusupov;

-          « European Parliament. Contemporary trends» - D.A. Balyka;

-          «Modern European literature: Nobel Laureates» - O.G. Abramova.

Examination for the second group will be conducted soon.
