Courses in English at NArFU

The spring 2014 at NArFU was marked by special courses in English for students from some institutes. Thanks to the project “Establishing the Barents EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under the financial support of the European Union, the courses on the history, culture, and policy of EU countries were included into curricula of lawyers, local lore specialists and historians: Problems of migration and migration policy in the EU», «Russia and the European Union: problems and prospects of cooperation», «Economics of the EU countries», «Information policy and information space development of the EU countries», «Protection of religious, ethnic, national minorities in EU. Legal status of the EU citizen», «Comparative family law of the EU countries», «European models of religious cultural communication».    

Future lawyers were acquainted with family law and defense of rights of EU residents and students of the Institute of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences examined migration, economy, policy, religious and general aspects of relations between EU countries. Students who visited lecturers highly estimated the acquired knowledge which will be useful in their future professional activity. It’s noteworthy that these courses have been also included into the curricula of the following year.
