European Integration
On April 11-12, 2013 the first out of three trainings devoted to the cooperation with the European Union, was arranged on the base ofSyktyvkarStateUniversity. The training programme is organized within the frameworks of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under the financial support of the European Union. The aim is to provide the essential knowledge about the European Union, its institutions, programmes and to form acquirements for the development of cooperation and acquirements in the sphere of project activity.
In the course of two-day classes a senior lecturer of International Relations Department of PetrSU Anton Lapshin delivered lectures about the history of European integration, political and economic institutions of the European Union, described in details the process of decision-making in managerial bodies of the EU, existing political, social, economic problems of European countries development, demonstrated the complexity of relations between Russia and the EU.
Representatives of authorities, regional institutions of the civil society, business associations, national autonomous territories, mass media and educational institutions of the Komi republic took part in the training.
Participants gave high assessment to the information provided during the training and pointed out that the acquired knowledge could be used in the professional activity and for personal development.
