International school "The problems of social well-being of the population in modern conditions" (EU Days 2018)

"The problems of social well-being of the population in modern conditions are of particular relevance on both sides of the Russian-Finnish border," said Yu.A. Petrovskaya, acting. Head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, during the work of the international school for social work.
The event was held in Petrozavodsk State University, gathering teachers and students of PetrSU and Saimaa University of Applied Sciences (Saimaa University of Applied Sciences), Lappeenranta (Finland) to discuss this topical issue.

Within the school, lectures and discussions were held on the problems of social work with family, children, elderly people and other categories of the population, and possible directions for further cooperation between PetrSU and Saimen University of Applied Sciences were identified.

The school was held within the "EU Days" in the framework of the project “EU Center in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented with the financial support of the European Union’s Erasmus + program.
