Modern Pedagogical Technologies and Psychology in the Institutions of Higher Education

On the 19^th and the 20^th of November, 2012 within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented with the financial support of the EU, International Institute of Business Education in consort with PetrSU and MSTU arranged   lifelong learning courses “Modern Pedagogical Technologies and Psychology in the Institutions of Higher Education” for lecturers of IIBE and MSTU.   

The goal of the study was the development of lecturers’ professional competence.

On the first day PetrSU lecturer Svetlana Karpova introduced results of the last research works devoted to social and psychological peculiarities of modern students which should be taken into account for the increasing of educational quality in the institutions of higher education.

On the second day the training course was arranged. It allowed participants to reinforce skills of community-minded education. Lecturers in Economics, Ecology, Psychology and Linguistics vigorously discussed the possibilities of usage of business games, discussions, problematic situations when organizing education regarding different specializations.

Analysis of participants’ feedback link demonstrated that the acquired knowledge and effective communication with colleagues are estimated by them as the essential component of professional development of modern lecturers from higher educational institutions.
