On perspectives of cooperation with Hungary

Meeting of the dean and lecturers of the Faculty of Philology with Katalin Kroo, Head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest (Hungary).
Matters of contemporary humanitarian education and integration of the system of humanitarian education in Russia with European model were discussed at the meeting.
Katalin Kroo visited Petrozavodsk State University within the framework of the project ‘Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia’, implemented with the financial support of the EU.
Hungarian scientist presented her own course ‘Dialogue of Cultures in the Literary Text – Poetics of Intertextuality’ to students of different departments and lecturers of the Faculty of Philology.
‘I liked Petrozavodsk State University a lot, its library (especially the stock of rare books) and the city itself. I hope that this meeting will become a part of a long and fruitful cooperation between Eötvös Loránd University and PetrSU’, - said Katalin Kroo.

Katalin Kroo is the head of the Department of Russian Linguistics and Literature, director of the PHD-programme ‘Russian Literature and Literary Studies’, vice-president of the
International Community of Dostoevsky, author of many books on Russian Literature of the 19th century, and one of the leading European and world scholars of Dostoevsky’s works.
