On April 18, 2013 the Meeting of the Russian EU Centres Was Arranged in Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in Kaliningrad.
Anastasia Kuznetsova, coordinator of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented with the financial support of the European Union, director of the EU Information Centre of PetrSU, presented the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia (BEUC) which was established in PetrSU.
The EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia was founded on the base of the EU Information Centre of Petrozavodsk State University in December 2011 and it is comprised of 5 leading universities of the region: Petrozavodsk State University, Murmansk State Technical University, International Institute of Business Education,SyktyvkarStateUniversity, Northern (Arctic)FederalUniversity.
In the course of the meeting representatives of six EU centres demonstrated the results of their work in 2012 – beginning of 2013, shared their experience, discussed the results of reporting of the first and second years of activity and the questions of further cooperation and organization of joint activities in collaboration with not only Russian Centres but also with Centres of other countries. Nicola Scaramuzzo (Delegation of the European Union to Russia) emphasized some essential perspectives and possibilities of further work and financing of Centres activity.
