Online seminar “European Donor Organizations and Programs”
A multi-sided webinar called Informational online seminar “European Donor Organizations and Programs” was arranged at the PetrSU Barents EU Centre on 28 February 2017. It was held within the framework of the project “EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented with the financial support of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. The seminar covered European organizations and programs that provide financial aid for implementing various types of projects in research, educational, cultural, social, administrative and other areas. It will give the participants an opportunity to ask questions directly to the representatives of these programs and organizations.
The seminar united the representatives of the authorities, civil society institutions, (NGOs, civic organizations), cultural and educational institutions of the Barents region of Russia.
The program of the one-day seminar implied presentations of the participants and discussion in the question-answer format. As a result the participants listened to the presentations of Dmitry Bazegsky, head of the Petrozavodsk branch of the ENI Karelia program, Richard Burger, research and innovation counsellor of the EU Delegation to Russia, on the Horizon 2020 program, Vadim Deleu, program coordinator of the EU Delegation to Russia, on the Erasmus+ program, Maria Dianova, counsellor of the International Barents Secretariat, on opportunities for financial cooperation in the Barents Region. Aleksei Rogozin, head of the international projects division of the PetrSU department of international projects and programs, spoke about his project experience in the ENPI Karelia project.
In general it is worth mentioning that the online seminar gave the participants an opportunity to gain new knowledge on the previously known and new programs, new skills on writing project applications and implementing a project. They got some useful advice that will help them to develop cooperation with the EU and project activity of their organizations.
