The Course Devoted to the EU in Arkhangelsk

On April 4-5, 2013 within the framework of the training programme dedicated to the European Union the centre “Arctic Partnership” arranged the integrated course on the European Union in NArFU. This program is carried out in cooperation with Petrozavodsk State University within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under the financial support of the European Union.

The aim is to provide the essential information on the European Union, its institutions, programs and skills for the development of cooperation and project activity.

The course was attended by the representatives of different NArFU structures including Institute of social-humanitarian and political sciences, Law institute, Institute of Economics and Management, Institute of Forest Engineering, Institute of Theoretical and Applied Chemistry, common use centre “ArktikMed” and centre “Arctic Partnership”, representatives of business structures and administration and Deputies’ Council of Naryan-Mar.
Within the framework of the course senior lecturer of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of Petrozavodsk State University Anton Lapshin delivered lectures on the history of European integration, EU institutions, the process of decision-making in the EU, spheres of politics and relations between Russia and the European Union.
