The second Training Program in Syktyvkar

On November 30-31, 2013 the second training program devoted to the cooperation with the European Union was conducted in Syktyvkar. The training program is arranged within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under financial support of the European Union.

The aim of the training is to provide the essential information about the European Union, sponsored programs and funds and to form project activity skills.    

In the course of two-day classes the head of the Contact Centre of the Nordic Council of Ministers Pavel Petrov presented the practical information on the grant applications to the European foundations. Having begun with the basics and principles of international cooperation, P.Petrov gave the detailed overview of donors working with the Russian organizations. The higher attention was received by grant application writing and submitting: time-management issues, preparation of the organization to application submitting, work with foundations on-line systems, project budget planning and writing, preparation of interim and final reports. The specific norms of project financing and co-financing specific to the European Union were also discussed.        

Representatives of authorities, regional institutions of the civil society, business associations, national autonomies, mass media and educational institutions of the Republic of Komi took part in the training program. The participants expressed appreciation of the acquired information and  emphasized that the course was very useful and had practical significance for their professional activity.
