Training Course “Principles and Basics of International Cooperation”

On October 28-29, 2013 the free-of-charge training course “Principles and Basics of International Cooperation” was arranged in Arkhangelsk. It was implemented within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under financial support of the European Union. The aim of the training program is to reveal principles and basics of international cooperation, to show the role of Russia in the system of international cooperation, to provide information on European Commission programs, ENPI, Norwegian Barents Secretariat, the Nordic Council of Ministers and to present information on Russian funds, the basics of grant applications writing, project management basics and basics of work with websites. The course was introduced by the head of the Contact Centre of the Nordic Council of Ministers in Petrozavodsk Pavel Petrov. “The course should help people to create their projects. Especially to freshmen in project management. It should give help and tools: how to write project applications, existing funds and donors, how and when you may apply to them,” – Pavel Petrov explains. According to his opinion non-commercial organization, small and medium business may be a project. It is possible to develop projects which promote science, education and culture. InNorthwestern Federal District local government projects are very popular. 

There was a home work for all participants – to prepare project. The instructor promised to give advice to everybody who will need assistance. The impressive amount of people visited the course. “In comparison with other towns NArFU gathered the great number of people. That's good to see. It means that people are interested in this question, fundraising and project application writing. Hope to hear interesting ideas in the future,” – commented Pavel Petrov.
