Training program for participants of the EU academic mobility programs (EU Days 2018)

On June, 15,16 PetrSU training and recreational centre “Urozero” hosted a seminar for students participating in EU academic mobility programs. 
The event encompassed a large number of participants from different institutes of Petrozavodsk State University. These were the students about to set off for studying in Hungary, Sweden, Finland and Spain. 

Y. Terushkova, senior lecturer of general and professional education department, Cand, Sc., opened the training with an excursus on special communication features when being in the EU, psychological problems affecting students in a foreign environment and possible ways to avoid them. 

Managers of international projects and programs department, A. Rogozin and A. Kupriakhin provided the students with useful details concerning Visa-policies of the EU countries and the corresponding application procedures. 

The final part of the seminar implied a role-play game “The border” which purpose was to simulate the whole process of border-crossing, including customs clearance and possible incidents at the place. 

Apart from that, a number of “veterans” of academic mobility programs shared their experience and knowledge with those about to go abroad first time. 

The event was organized as a constituent part of “the EU-days” implemented within the framework international project “EU centre in the Barents region of Russia” with the financial support of Erasmus + programme of the European Union.
