Webinar "Humanity and Security

On February 7, 2014 Barents EU Centre and Atlantic and Asian Cooperation Centre arranged webinar with Carlton University EU Centre (Ottawa,Canada). Barents EU Centre was represented by coordinator Anastasia Kuznetsova,Atlanticand Asian Cooperation Centre – by director Aleksey Rogozin. Within the framework of the webinar Dr. Martin Geiger revealed his view on topic “Humanity and Security: EU Response to New Migration and Refugees Issues”. He described the modern problems of migration inEuropeand EU policy related to this sphere. The participants had the opportunity to make questions and shared their opinions. The students of the Department of Political Science and International Relations of PetrSU took part in the webinar. They discussed with Dr. Geiger the main reasons for a negative attitude to immigrants inEurope.
