On March 19, 2017, as part of the “EU Days’ within the project “EU Centre in the Barents region of Russia”, implemented with the financial support of the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, a Business simulation “Peace Congress in Hague” took place in “Khoroshee Mesto” [Good Place].


On March 17, 2017, research fellow at Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (Spain) Nicolas de Pedro gave lecture on topic “The EU-Russia crisis: will there be a reset in 2017” with support of the project of the European Union “Public Diplomacy. EU and Russia”.


A multi-sided webinar called Informational online seminar “European Donor Organizations and Programs” was arranged at the PetrSU Barents EU Centre on 28 February 2017. It was held within the framework of the project “EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented with the financial support of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. The seminar covered European organizations and programs that provide financial aid for implementing various types of projects in research, educational, cultural, social, administrative and other areas. It will give the participants an opportunity to ask questions directly to the representatives of these programs and organizations.


On January 23, 2017, the lectures on the course “History of European Integration” finished in the EU Barents Centre of PetrSU. Lectures were given in English in the framework of the “Open Module on the European Union” project, carried out with the financial support of the Erasmus + program of the European Union.


On December 1, 2016 the EU Delegation to the Russian Federation hosted a consultative methodological seminar on the European program Jean Monnet.


On November 24, 2016, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to the Russian Federation Sven-Olov Carlsson gave a lecture on EU-Russia relations to Petrozavodsk State University students. In his presentation he showed economic, cultural, historical connections using actual examples, pointing out that the strongest connections are those between people and nations.


On November 23, 2016, PetrSU hosted an international conference “EU Role in the Barents Region of Russia” as a part of EU Days.


On November 23, 2016, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the EU to the Russian Federation Sven-Olov Carlsson and Projects and Finance Specialist of the EU Cooperation Program Vadim Deleu visited Petrozavodsk State University, where they met the Vice-rector for International Affairs M. S. Gvozdeva and Director of the European Union Information Center A. A. Kuznetsova.


Meeting of the EU Information Centers took place in the Delegation of the EU to the Russian Federation on 17-18 November 2016. PetrSU was represented by the director of the EU InfoCenter and coordinator of the EU Center in the Barents Region of Russia Anastasia Kuznetsova.


Exhibition “EU Today” took place from October 19 to November 2 within the project “EU Center in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented with the financial support of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. It was organized by the PetrSU Barents EU Center together with PetrSU library
