On November 10, 2014 the webinar “Practices of Collaboration between the European Union andRussiain the Sphere of Education and Science”, devoted to the meeting of the EU Centres inRussia, was conducted. The Barents EU Centre was represented by project director, director of theInstituteofInternational Programs Ludmila Kulikovskayaand project coordinator, head of the EU Information Centre in PetrSU Anastasia Kuznetsova.

Within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented with the financial support of the European Union, on October 29,2014 inthe Russian Centre of Science and Culture inMadrid(Spain) the meeting of the director of the Institute of International Programs, project director L. Kulikovskaya with the head of Rossotrudnichestvo in Spain E. Sokolov was conducted.

On October, 2014 the head of the EU Information Centre in PetrSU Anastasia Kuznetsova visited the EU Information Centre in Madrid (Spain) and had a meeting with the representatives of the Centre. The meeting was arranged within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented with the financial support of the European Union.

On October 9, 2014 PetrSU took part in the meeting of the Joint Working Group on Education and Research (JWGER) of the Barents Euro-Arctic Council in the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented with the financial support of the European Union.

This academic year students of Murmansk State Technical University were provided an excellent opportunity to deepen their knowledge about various aspects of the European Union activities. They were able to attend the courses developed by the lecturers of the Polytechnic Institute, Law Faculty, Institute of Economics, Management and International Relations, Faculty of Food Technology and Biology within the project "Establishment of the EU Centre in the Barents region of Russia" implemented under the financial support of the European Union.

From May 21 to May 23 “EU Days” were conducted in Archangelsk. They were organized by the Northern (Arctic)FederalUniversitynamed after M.V. Lomonosov within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under the financial support of the European Union.

The courses in English devoted to the EU were conducted for students at PetrSU. They were elaborated by the lecturers from the Faculties of History, Philology, Law, Economics and the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences after completion of the training program within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under the financial support of the European Union.

The spring 2014 at NArFU was marked by special courses in English for students from some institutes. Thanks to the project “Establishing the Barents EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under the financial support of the European Union

The course “Regionalism, Regional Policy and Cross-Border Cooperation in the EU” has been finished in the Barents EU Centre.

On May 26, 2014 “Days of the EU” began in Petrozavodsk. The event is organized by the Barents EU Centre within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia” implemented under the financial support of the European Union.
