On October 28-29, 2013 the free-of-charge training course “Principles and Basics of International Cooperation” was arranged in Arkhangelsk. It was implemented within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under financial support of the European Union.


On October 21-22, 2013 the course “International Cooperation Principles and Basics” was arranged in Murmansk. The course was organized within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under the financial support of the European Union, and it was the second part of the training program devoted to the cooperation with the European Union.


From September 30, 2013 to September 22, 2013 the first course in the English language developed within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented with the financial support of the European Union, was arranged in PetrSU.


The exhibition “The EU Today” was conducted by the Barents EU Centre in cooperation with the Scientific Library of PetrSU from October 7 to October 11, 2013.


Post-graduate student of Agricultural Faculty (department of technology and methods of agricultural mechanization, 05.20.01) Timmo Gavrilov has won the competition which was arranged among PetrSU post-graduate students by Barents EU Centre with the aim of receiving grant for research devoted to the EU.


On September 25-26, 2013 the course “Principles and Basics of International Cooperation” was arranged in PetrSU. This course is organized by Barents EU Centre.


On September 19, 2013 the meeting of the representatives of the Russian EU Centres was held in St. Petersburg. Barents EU Centre was represented by the Head of the EU Information Centre, project coordinator Anastasia Kuznetsova.


On June 5-6, 2013 “European Union Days” were arranged in Archangelsk in NArFU within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under the financial support of the European Union.


From June 17 to June 21, 2013 the head of the EU Information Centre, Barents EU Centre coordinator Anastasia Kuznetsova took part in European Union Vistors Programme in Brussels, Belgium.


The competition had the form of online quiz where the schoolchildren from Petrozavodsk and Republic of Karelia responded to the questions connected with the history of European integration, EU institutions, its nowadays state, symbols and relations Russia-EU. Besides, there was a creative question: “What new symbol would you suggest for the EU? Describe it and give arguments”.
