This course is the first part of the training programme, devoted to the cooperation with the European Union. The training programme was arranged by PetrSU for the municipal and regional authorities, regional institutions of the civil society (non-commercial organizations, business associations, friendship societies, mass media) of the Republic of Karelia within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under the financial support of the European Union.


The Russian side was represented by director of theInstituteofInternational Programs L. Kulikovskaya, members ofAtlanticand Asian Cooperation Centre A. Rogozin and N. Silina, head of the EU Information Centre A. Kuznetsova and director of Northern European Research Institute Y. Kilin, the Norwegian side was represented by director of the Centre E. Sandersen, professor of Social Sciences Facilty V. Vambheim, researcher M. Lønneberg, Centre manager E. Trunova.


On March 1, 2013 representative of PetrSU Institute of International Programs A.A. Rogozin participated in the consultation and methodical workshop related to the preparation of project applications for the program Tempus IV within the 6th competition which took place in the Delegation of the European Union in Moscow.


The target group of the course is the students and Master’s degree students of the Faculty of History. The first lecture was devoted to methodology and content of the course «Introduction to Korean Art» and to the peculiarities of Korean art.


On the 12th of February, 2013 in Petrozavodsk State University the lecturer of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences A.A. Lapshin began to read the course “The Common External Policy and Security Policy: the EU in the World Policy” which is implemented under the financial support of the European Union “LLP programme”.


The course “The EU Law” organized in PetrSU is completed. This course was delivered from September 3, 2012 within the framework of the project “The Open Module Devoted to the EU Integration” implemented under the financial support of the European Union “LLP programme”.

On-line Meeting

The on-line meeting of the partners participated in the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented with the financial support of the European Union, was arranged in the Institute of International programmes of PetrSU.


The meeting of leaders, lecturers and managers of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under the financial support of the European Union, took place in Petrozavodsk State University.


In Archangelsk on 21st-22nd of November lecturers from NArFU completed the course “Modern Pedagogical Technologies and Psychology in the Institutions of Higher Education” implemented under the financial support of the European Union.


From the 26th to the 30th of November, 2012 intellectual games for pupils “The European Union: 20 Years Later” were conducted at NArFU.
