Exchange of Opinions in the EU Research Club
The regular meeting of the EU Research Club was arranged inPetrozavodskStateUniversity. “Groundhog Day: Lack of Motivation among Young People in the EU? What are the ways and sources for sparking the interest among young people?” – that was the topic of the meeting which was arranged in the form of discussion.

The exhibition “The EU Today” was opened in the reading room of the Scientific Library of Petrozavodsk State University.
Promising Cooperation
The meeting between the Dean of the Faculty of History Sergey Verigin and the University of Turku senior research assistant, Ph.D. Tapani Paavonen was conducted in Petrozavodsk State University. The meeting was arranged within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”.
The Road to the EU-27
The lectures presented by senior research assistant of theUniversityofTurku, Ph.D. Tapani Paavonen were conducted at the Faculty of History.
On the 5th of September, 2012 the course “Modern Pedagogical Technologies and Psychology in the Higher Educational Institutions” was commenced for the lecturers participating in the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia” which is implemented under the financial support of the European Union.

On the 13th and 14th of September, 2012 the Head of the EU Information Centre Anastasia Kuznetsova took part in the workshop meeting of the Russian EU centres held inTomsk.

In April within the framework of the project ‘Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia’, implemented with the financial support of the EU in SyktSU on the basis of the Institute of Additional Vocational Education professional development programme called ‘Professional English for University Lecturers’ was organized.
2nd meeting of the EU Research Club
From 27 till 30 of June 2012 other meetings of the EU Researchers Club took place in PetrSU. The Club was found within the framework of the project ‘Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia’, implemented with the financial support of the European Union.
From the 18th to the 22nd of June, 2012 Welcome Days were held in the Barents EU Centre within the framework of the project ‘Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia’, implemented with the financial support of the EU.
