On December 6, 2013 within the framework of “Days of Social Skills” in Petrovskaya school Anastasia Kuznetsova, the head of the EU Information Centre, coordinator of the Barents EU Centre, presented Barents EU Centre and responded to the questions of the audience.

Scientific articles collection “The European Union and Northern Europe: Past, Present, and Future” was prepared and published within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented with the financial support of the EU. The collection consists of 10 articles by 17 authors

A post-graduate student Egor Eremeev (his specialty is 08.00.05 – “Economy and National Economy Management”) has won in the competition conducted among post-graduate students of Syktyvkar State University with the aim of receiving grant to implement research devoted to the EU. The competition was arranged within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under the financial support of the European Union.

On November 11, 2013 nn Syktyvkar State University within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under the financial support of the European Union, the quiz in Englisg “The European Union: History and Modernity” was arranged for the pupils of Syktyvkar schools.

On November 19-20, 2013 the meeting of Working Group on Education and Research in the Barents Euro-Arctic Region was arranged in Brussels. The meeting gathered more than 45 people – representatives of 13 universities and research institutes of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, members of the European Commission Directorate and the leading experts of regional administrations and national offices of Sweden and Norway. Under the support of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under the financial support of the European Union”, director of the Institute of International Programs L. Kulikovskaya, director of Atlantic and Asian Cooperation Centre of IIP A. Rogozin, deputy director of PetrSU IT-Park A. Shabaev represented PetrSU and the Barents EU Centre.

On November 18, 2013 the meeting of the EU Research Club was arranged in PetrSU.

On November 15, 2013 multilateral teleconference bridge with the title Information on-line seminar “European Donor Organizations and Programs” was arranged in PetrSU.

On November 7-8, 2013 the meeting of the EU Information Centres was arranged in the Delegation of the EU to Russia. The EU InfoCentre of PetrSU was introduced by its head Anastasia Kuznetsova.

On November 30-31, 2013 the second training program devoted to the cooperation with the European Union was conducted in Syktyvkar. The training program is arranged within the framework of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under financial support of the European Union.

Under support of the project “Establishing the EU Centre in the Barents Region of Russia”, implemented under financial support of the European Union, PetrSU took part in the international educational exhibition “Education Without Limits” in Sophia (October 18 – 20, 2013).
